I must add, don't throw water into the fire created when frying (as others may instinctively do), it'll cause the oil to overflow creating a bigger fire.

I think fire blankets and fire extinguisher are mainly associated with commercial and industrial properties and offices - many don't realise that these are readily available for everyday homes too.

Also - it's crucial - test your smoke alarms weekly!

Gas Burners

I want to add one more our experience, to make safe your kitchen you should use high quality of gas burners and kitchen equipment.
